Tuas Power Vs Ohm Energy: Which Retailer Is Better?

Not sure if you should go with Tuas Power or Ohm Energy? Then you’re in the right place.

Overview of Ohm Energy

ohm energy pte ltd

Ohm Energy is about providing cheap energy to its clients by partnering with SP Group (formerly known as Singapore Power). The website is bright and easy to navigate.

I care about our planet and am happy to report that Ohm Energy takes steps to offset their carbon footprint and demonstrate a “green” lifestyle, as listed on their “About” page.

Ohm Energy is transparent in the pricing and offers you the chance to get a glimpse of what your bill will look like with their Price Plans tool. I also like that Ohm offers a three-month no-obligation trial should you feel unsure about trying them out.

Lastly, Seedly reviews show that Ohm has a 4.9/5 rating out of 239 reviews at the time of this writing.

The only thing I did not like was the fact that it was hard to find customer service info. There is no information listed for commercial plans, either.

Overview of Tuas Power

tuas power

I noticed right away that Tuas has a Customer Care portal immediately for existing customers, which is convenient. This company seems very comprehensive, offering gas, electricity and commercial services.

I do like that the packages for their electricity are laid out. However, they lack pricing info. The gas services appear to only be for businesses and not residential customers.

Tuas does keep things green by way of their “Green Program”, which I appreciate.

Which One Should You Choose?

It seems that Ohm power is more about providing some nice promotions and incentives to residential customers. At the time of this writing, a promotion offering percentages off your energy bill was being advertised for varying supply terms. Meanwhile, Tuas is all about the commercial accounts, though they do have residential services.

All in all, I personally feel Ohm Energy is the better choice. It places more of a focus on residential customers and makes it easy to estimate what your bill will look like.
